Katalyst-Light is a lightweight catalytic granular filter medium for iron, manganese and hydrogen-sulphide removal. The treatment design coordinates oxidation, catalytic conversion, solids loading, service velocity and bed expansion during backwash.

Technical workflow

Prepare: Establish the contaminant form and, where required, provide suitable oxidation before or within the media bed.

React: Catalytic media surfaces accelerate conversion of dissolved contaminants to filterable forms.

Filter: The media bed retains precipitated material and suspended solids at the selected service rate.

Backwash: Accumulated solids are released during a properly designed hydraulic cleaning cycle.
